Me and my wife travel for food and we were on a road trip from MN and we found this gem. When I tell you, I made love to this plate. Got this plate for under 30 and damn they hook it up, food was homemade and fresh and god it was delicious. I would drive the 9 hours again just to come here. Food is made with love here, highly recommend this spot. Never had cornbread dressing before, my lord it was probably the best thing I've ate on this ENTIRE trip.

I stopped by to get dinner, and I’m glad I finally tried Daddio’s again. There’s very little space inside, so they’re definitely set up for take out. The proprietress was very friendly, and I was able to make decisions quickly as to what to order. I tried the rib tips with two sides (I settled on mashed potatoes and green beans), and it came with cornbread on the side. It was all very flavorful and rich. The sauce on the tips was well-spiced, and even the mashed potatoes had good flavor. It’s a bit pricey, but you get a lot of good food. It’s well worth giving them a try.

OMG!! I was in a food coma when i finally sat down..I had the Collard greens, yams, corn bread, two types of sausage and two types of chicken and ribs...Smokey flavour was awesome!! The owner cooks like my grandma, mom and aunties from Masschusetts!! Love the food, friendly atmosphere and price was very reasonable for any budget!! Will come back soon and especially around Thanksgiving!! Thumbs up and a high five!!

This is definitely a gem of Holland with delicious soul food and the most friendly and welcoming dining experience. The place is spacious and with plenty of sittings and quick ordering of food at the counter. We came in a big group and was welcomed so graciously. There’s large variety of options and everything is absolutely delicious and decadent. My favorite meat entrees are fried chicken, rib tips, and surprisingly sausage. My favorite non-meat entrees are candied yam, mac and cheese, and collard green. I simply loved everything. The portion is large, each dish is filled with flavors, and my only regret is not leaving enough room to try their bread pudding.

I don't often leave a place with a huge smile on my face. But I absolutely did after I visited this lovely establishment. The service was phenomenal. The ladies were so incredibly friendly and sweet. The vibes were it. And OMG the food. You guys, the food. It was SO GOOD. I initially came for greens, and they did not disappoint!!!! They were perfectly seasoned (not too salty). I also got the rib ends and the Mac & Cheese. I will be returning, especially for the greens.

Rochelle is the sweetest and down to earth woman! Grandma and I were traveling to Michigan for the Tulip Time Festival and this is the first place I highly recommend! The ribs were finger licking good!! The Mac & cheese, greens, and jambalaya rice were AWESOME! She even gave us free cornbread and we enjoy talking to her! 10 out of 10!!

The family and I ate at Daddio's. We entered and were immediately greeted by Momma's hospitality. Her hospitality is not only heartwarming but also authentic and enriching. That's just talking about Momma. Her hospitality and care cannot be compared to any other restaurant in Holland. She even gave my daughters free CapriSun and chatted with them. I wish others would take note of this. I even enjoyed seeing another customer walk in and lovingly greet Momma like she was their Momma. Now let's get to the fantastic food. My family and I recently moved back from Florida after the passing of one of my daughters to be near family. One of the things we missed about Florida was the southern cooking and the Soul food. The food at Daddio's was excellent! We had the BBQ tips with three sides: mac' n Cheese, collard greens, baked beans, and Cornbread. All for 27. This fed our entire family, plus more. The BBQ tips were so delicious and came right off the bone. They were amazing. We are picky with Collard Greens because we have had some excellent collard greens from excellent restaurants in the South, and I can tell you that this is by far in the top five that we have had. My daughters loved the Mac and cheese and the cornbread. We had a great time eating as a family on the patio adjacent to the restaurant. I hope that Holland can support this gem! We know that we will. God bless.

Service was amazing. Very welcoming. Food was super good too. Regular Rib Tib Combo with mac and cheese and greens. Can't go wrong. Also if the flowers are out next to the building it is a great spot to eat your food.

Welcome to Daddio's Carry Outs, a hidden gem nestled in the heart of Holland, Michigan, where flavor takes center stage. Located at 567 College Ave, this eatery is redefining the takeout experience with its delightful blend of homemade soul food, crafted with love and attention to detail.

As I stepped into Daddio's, I was immediately struck by the warmth and friendliness of the staff. The atmosphere is welcoming, encouraging guests to indulge in a culinary adventure. The space may be cozy, but it’s clearly designed for a quick service experience that doesn't sacrifice quality for convenience.

The menu is a testament to traditional comfort food at its finest. Each dish is lovingly prepared, showcasing the rich flavors of soul food that evoke memories of home cooking. Customers rave about the rib tips, perfectly seasoned and served with generous sides like creamy mashed potatoes and vibrant collard greens. The addition of cornbread—a highlighted favorite—complements each meal splendidly, a tradition that’s well-embodied in their offerings.

From what I've gathered, Daddio’s Carry Outs is not just about great food; it's about creating an experience. Guests leave not just satisfied, but also with a smile that reflects the joy of having discovered a culinary treasure. As one patron put it, “I’d drive nine hours just to eat here again.” The passion behind each dish is palpable, with flavors that resonate deeply, reminiscent of a grandmother’s cooking. This is food that speaks to the soul.

Don’t overlook the non-meat entrees either! The candied yams and velvety mac and cheese are often highlighted as must-tries, adding a comforting touch that rounds out the meal. As you ponder your sides, be prepared to savor every bite, as each dish is generously portioned and bursting with flavor. One diner even expressed regret for not having enough room to indulge in the bread pudding, a dessert that seems to be the cherry on top of a satisfying meal.

In essence, Daddio's Carry Outs is more than a restaurant; it’s a soulful escape that leaves you feeling nourished and uplifted. With a commitment to quality and community, this eatery is making waves in Holland’s food scene. If you find yourself in the area, do yourself a favor and stop by; you won’t just be enjoying a meal—you’ll be partaking in a heartfelt experience that will linger long after the last bite.
